Our family ran two front engine dragsters (Quarter Pounder I & II) from the mid 70's through the early 80's at Maple Grove in Reading, PA. This left an impression on me as it would most anyone. Unfortunately the family digger met it's demise - an oil bath, the old single guardrail and that was that. Dad was fine, but we were done racing.

Fast forward 20 years later. Finally back to the habit in '04, but this time with a door slammer to start. Large Orange a big block, full-bodied Camaro. Very sooon thereafter I found a vintage '69 front engine dragster. We picked it up on New Years Day '05. The Quarter Pounder 3 was out for the first time in July '05. Won Editor's Choice at Super Chevy Show in July '06 with times ranging from 9.30's down to 9.15 @ 140+ mph. The dragster was sold in the Summer of '07.

So it was on to the next project...a nostalgia funny car. Displayed and ran a few events in '08 and several shows in '09, we were still working out the launches and getting 'er to run the numbers. The new engine was prepared over the off season and is now ready for the 2010 season and running in the 8.50-60 range. 2010 is lining up to be another great season of nostalgia events.
